Room 11 - Weber Haus

"We just celebrated our 35th Anniversary and we are taking a tour around Lake Michigan. This is our
first stop and certainly a great beginning. Room 11 is our favorite, with the skylight for enjoying a book
and the fireplace for atmosphere and of course the right person sharing it. The history of the downtown makes Cedarburg an interesting place to explore. Next time we'll bring our bikes and try out the
interurban trail. Morton's has the best acorn squash we've ever found! See you on our way home."

Room History
On the first floor in the rear of the Weber Haus, a wood frame building built in 1848 on Cedarburg's main
street Washington Ave, a cozy suite welcomes you. The building was converted from the Weber family
house in 1990 when Della Weber who was born there sold it to the Browns in hopes that they would
keep it mostly intact. They did. The original shutters were found in the basement and were replaced on
the front. The skylight over the sitting area provides an inviting place to read or look up and enjoy the
stars or occasional rain. The gas fireplace as well as an in room whirlpool provide warmth and comfort.
The pine wardrobe was refinished by the Browns and compliments several other vintage pieces and
oil paintings. The room includes cable TV. Historically this has been a favorite for many guests.
